Page count or custom ranges?
Use a page count when you need similarly sized sections. Use custom ranges when a report’s chapters have different lengths or only particular pages should be shared. Check the PDF’s actual page positions: a printed page label can differ from the page’s position because of covers or introductory pages.
Splitting is not redaction
A page range selects entire pages. If a selected page still contains private information, splitting it does not remove that information. Review the content of every output page before sharing. Use a dedicated redaction workflow when information on a page needs to be permanently removed.
A free tool with local processing
